I am here after ten years of higher education and an array of various life and work experiences to assist you in coping with quality of life issues. I have been passionate about becoming a psychotherapist to help others since I was 17 years old.

The lens in which I practice focuses on encouraging and practicing authenticity, assisting clients through the process of vulnerability, developing healthy communication, embracing connection, and exploring coping strategies for various quality of life issues.

My educational experience consists of ten years of studying psychology and mental health treatment methods. I earned a B.S. in Psychology from Saint Vincent College with a concentration in the study of Addictions.  I then earned an MSEd in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University, before finally earning a Psy.D in School Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. My doctoral dissertation evaluated a performing arts group therapy intervention I created and facilitated for five years that utilized therapy in the theatre with at-risk youth.  The many lessons I have learned from this experience have shaped how I view the world and live my everyday life.

I have worked primarily with adolescents, young adults, and adults to assist them in dealing with various quality of life issues. I have worked in community mental health agencies, schools, private practice, and most recently the psychiatric emergency department of the third busiest ER in the country- before and during the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The diverse work experience I have been afforded in the past ten years has informed me of how to best support each client I work with. These various work environments that brought forth a diverse set of clients with an array of issues they are facing has expanded my skillset, my abilities, and my scope of practice.

After ten years of higher education, countless internships, and extensive work experience, I have learned how to balance my work and personal life in a way that makes sense for me. Further, I have walked the walk by insisting in practicing my own self-care. This is the reason why I have an array of hobbies and interests that I participate in both to continue to learn outside of the traditional classroom as well as to have outlets for daily stress. CrossFit workouts of the day, dancing salsa, and meditation are just some of my outlets.
